Burn Ban Extended Through 4/14/2025

In accordance with Ordinance No. 8 of 2016, Plymouth Police Chief Anthony Gorey has
extended the Burn Ban previously effective March 11, 2025 through April 14, 2025 and may be
extended at the Borough’s discretion.

Due to present conditions, it has been determined that burning represents a danger to the
public safety, health and/or welfare of the residents of the Borough.
No Open Burning of any kind is permitted in Plymouth Borough for the duration of this Burn
Ban. Open Burning is defined as “the igniting of any material to cause flame, smoke, embers,
hot ash or residue, in combination or individually into the air without passing through a stack or
chimney.”

Any person or corporation who violates the provisions of this Ordinance shall, upon conviction,
pay a minimum fine of $300.00 and a maximum fine not to exceed $1000.00 and the costs of
prosecution, as well as filing fees, and in default therewith, undergo imprisonment in the
County Prison for a period not to exceed 30 days.
